chriscord
Voice, video, screen sharing and chat that you host yourself. Run a server on your own machine, invite your friends, and your messages stay on hardware you control.
Download
For Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit). Mac and Linux builds are coming later.
Getting started
-
Run the installer
Open ChriscordSetup.exe. Since the app isn't code signed yet, Windows might show a "Windows protected your PC" warning. Click More info and then Run anyway.
-
Join a server
Add a server in the app and paste an invite link from whoever runs it. Or connect to your own server if you're hosting one.
-
Updates happen on their own
Chriscord checks for a new version every time it starts, so you only need to download it once per computer.
Host your own server
The server runs on Linux, so a home server, a spare PC or a cheap VPS will all work. Build it with Cargo, install it as a service, connect to it from the app, and send your friends an invite link. The server repo has the full setup steps.
